The deputy dies six days after leading the president’s transfer of power ceremony
López Obrador to the elected president Claudia Sheinbaum.
Ifigenia Martha Martínez y Hernández, known as Ifigenia Martínez, was a Mexican politician, economist, professor and diplomat, member of the Morena party. She was founder of the Party of the Democratic Revolution along with Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas and Porfirio Muñoz Ledo.
Honor Guards were attended and assembled by representatives of all the Powers of the Republic of the United Mexican States.
